This recipe can be found in Gooseberry Patch’s new  Hometown Christmas Cookbook. (Psst… have you entered to win a copy?)

You won’t believe how incredibly easy this recipe is…

It is two ingredients and perfect fun for the kids when it is cold outside.

Easy Cinnamon Cider

Grab a gallon of apple cider from your local grocery store. We just got a cheap bottle from the juice aisle.

And then grab a couple boxes of Red Hots.

Don’t worry, the resulting drink- while a beautiful red– isn’t too “hot”. The cinnamon heat is pretty subtle while being incredibly tasty!

Then before the kiddos go out to play in the snow, tell them you are going to make magic cider.

Pour your cider into your slow cooker (I used my newest one.) and let them dump in 1 cup of  Red Hots.

Cook on High for 2 hours.

And when they come in from playing hard, the Red Hots will be gone, but a yummy warm drink will be ready and waiting!
