Are you looking for a new soup recipe to warm up to? This Slow Cooker Tortellini Soup recipe is one of my family’s favorites!

Slow Cooker Tortellini Soup

The original recipe can be found in Gooseberry Patch’s new  Hometown Christmas Cookbook. (Psst… have you entered to win a copy?)

And the recipe? It tis quite yummy!

I tweaked it a bit from the original to meet our tastes.

Instead of using plain stewed tomatoes, I used my absolute favorite tomato blend Red Gold Diced Tomatoes with Basil, Garlic, and Oregano often called Red Gold BGO or otherwise known as if you haven’t tried it, go to the store and buy them now. And, yes in this case brand matters and no, they aren’t paying me to say that…

I also doubled up on the tortellini… because you can never have too much tortellini.

We make this soup quite regularly these days. Miss Add has declared it her favorite soup and requests it often. I consider that a win considering the soup is full of tomatoes and spinach and she eats it all right up!
